Running under floodlights

With the changeover to winter time, the Düsseldorf Sports Office is once again offering "Running under floodlights" at selected district sports facilities.

The days are getting shorter and it is becoming more difficult to run your usual route in the light after work. Therefore, from November 4, 2024 to March 28, 2025, the lighting will be switched on in the evening at the following five municipal sports facilities

Arena Sportpark: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.

Lierenfeld district sports facility: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.

Niederheid Sports Park: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.

Düsseltal district sports facility: Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.

Rather Waldstadion: Wednesdays and Fridays from 6-8 p.m.

 "Running under floodlights" is a measure of the Düsseldorf action plan as part of the European Charter for Equality with a focus on sport. The lighting at the selected sports facilities gives a feeling of safety and creates optimal training conditions.

Participation is free of charge, registration is not required.
