Together for children with cancer
Löwenstern, an association for the benefit of children with cancer at Düsseldorf University Hospital, is a charity partner of the Uniper Düsseldorf Marathon 2025.
A cancer diagnosis changes the life of a child and their family. Löwenstern provides important support during this difficult time. The association helps affected families with a variety of measures that make everyday life easier. These include personal on-site support during treatment, the provision of free accommodation near the clinic for relatives and support for children so that they can continue to attend school. These are just some of the many initiatives with which Löwenstern supports the families.
The Uniper Düsseldorf Marathon is pleased to support this valuable work together with its participants and to make a contribution to supporting Löwenstern and the families affected.

How can you provide support?
On site
At the Uniper Düsseldorf Marathon there will be two donation gates along the course where you can decide for yourself whether you want to run through or not. The donation gates are located at marathon km 25.5 / half marathon km 4.4 (Jägerhofstraße 18) and marathon km 33.8 / half marathon km 12.7 (Oststraße 82). You can pass through the gate at both points and make a donation of €4.00 per run to Löwenstern e.V.. After the event you will receive an e-mail from us in which you have to confirm the amount again in order to actually make the donation.
